Warranty Against Defects Policy

1. Warranty Period

We warrant that our coffee beans will be free from defects in material (e.g., contamination, mould, rancidity) and packaging (e.g., compromised seals) for 30 days from the roast date printed on the bag ("Warranty Period").

2. What We Will Do

If a defect covered by this warranty arises within the Warranty Period, we will, at our option:

  • replace the defective beans; or

  • refund the purchase price paid (including any delivery charge for the defective item).

We will cover reasonable return freight costs if we ask for the beans to be returned for inspection.

3. How to Make a Claim

Within the Warranty Period, email contact@catalystbrewcoffee.com with:

  1. your order number and purchase date;

  2. clear photos of the roast‑date label and the defect (beans or packaging);

  3. a brief description of storage conditions since delivery.

We will acknowledge your claim within 2 business days and may ask you to return the beans. Remedies will be provided within a reasonable time (normally 5 business days of receiving required information or the returned product).

4. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • normal flavour variations inherent to coffee;

  • beans stored contrary to our guidelines (exposed to heat, light, moisture, odours);

  • damage occurring after delivery (pest, water, improper resealing);

  • change‑of‑mind or taste preference.

5. Limitation of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited to the remedies set out above, subject to your ACL rights.

6. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Consumers may also seek assistance from NSW Fair Trading (https://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au).
