Returns & Refunds

1. Overview

This policy explains how to return goods purchased from catalystbrewcoffee.com and receive a remedy under the ACL or our goodwill program. For defects, please also review our Warranty Against Defects Policy.

2. Change‑of‑Mind Returns (Goodwill)

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect size or buyer’s remorse. This does not affect your statutory rights for faulty goods.

3. Faulty or Defective Goods

If your goods are:

  • damaged in transit;

  • not of acceptable quality;

  • unsafe;

  • not fit for purpose; or

  • significantly different from their description or sample,
    you are entitled to a remedy under the ACL. For a major failure, you may choose a refund or replacement. For a minor failure, we will repair or replace within a reasonable time; if not possible, you may request a refund.

4. How to Make a Return Request

Contact us within <NOTIFICATION_PERIOD> days of delivery with:

  • Order number and date.

  • Description of the issue (include photos where possible).

  • Preference: refund or replacement.

We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and provide return instructions if required.

5. Return Shipping

  • If the goods are confirmed faulty/defective, we will provide a prepaid return label or reimburse reasonable postage costs.

  • If the goods are later found not to be faulty, return costs may be at your expense.

6. Inspection & Remedy Timeframes

We aim to inspect returns within 5 business days of receipt. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment card within up to 15 business days (issuer processing times may vary). Replacement items are dispatched freight‑free.

7. Delivery Fee Refunds

Delivery fees are refunded only where the entire order is returned due to a major failure or our error. Partial returns receive the proportional value of goods only.

8. Additional Remedies

Nothing in this policy restricts your right to seek compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage under the ACL.

9. Governing Law & Assistance

This policy is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. If we do not resolve your issue, you may contact NSW Fair Trading for advice: www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au or 13 32 20.
